A few years ago I started suffering from weird pains in my fingers, wrist, and the back of my hand.

One reason I like it is that it’s wireless so there’s no need for any cords and I find that it fits quite well in the palm of the hand while encouraging an ergonomic and healthy handshake hand and wrist positioning .
The grip is quite comfortable and there’s a thumb rest to keep the thumb from resting on the ground while offering a little more support and the actual mouse part nicely fits the contour of the palm while helping to reduce any specific pressure areas.

The Anker Ergonomic Optical USB Wired Vertical Mouse is similar to the model I just mentioned except that it’s wired vs. being a wireless device.
It still offers all of the same benefits that a vertical Mouse offers except it has to be plugged into a USB port and attached with a cord rather than being able to enjoy it without wires.
For some people this isn’t a problem and I actually prefer having a corded mouse since I don’t have to worry about any batteries or losing the receiver although I definitely prefer having a wireless keyboard since I can lean back in the desk chair and use it with a wider range of distance.
This Anker corded one also boasts a streamlined and contemporary design while still offering the classic handshake grip that you find with a vertical mouse so it’s still quite comfortable for extended use and ideal for those suffering from any wrist or finger problems..

The Evoluent VerticalMouse 4 Right Wireless is a popular choice among many people suffering from hand pain and other issues related to using a standard mouse for extended periods of time.

Using an ordinary mouse for extended periods of time can cause problems for many people because of the unnatural resting position that the hand is kept in.
When a regular mouse your hand and forearm is kept rotated down so that the palm is facing down and the thumb is basically parallel with the desk or workstation.

When using a vertical mouse the forearm is in a more ergonomic position and this helps to reduce the stress placed on the joints and muscles in the wrist and forearm period
With the forearm on its side the wrist is able to relax on the baby finger and side of the hand where there is more soft tissue and nothing is getting compressed such as nerves or joints.
Moving the mouse is done using the stronger and bigger muscles in the arm rather than the wrist and forearm and the wrist is able to remain in a more neutral and comfortable position.
How to Use a Vertical Mouse
Using a vertical mouse is very straightforward and as soon as you get it into your hands you’ll be able to figure out a comfortable using position for it.
